  • Osama Cave Memo
    ===============

Hi guys. We've all been putting in long hours, but we've really come
together as a group, and I love that. Big thanks to Omar for putting
up the poster that says "There is no I in team," as well as the one that
says "Hang In There, Baby." That cat is hilarious.
However, while we are fighting a jihad, we can't forget to take care of
the cave. And frankly, I have a few concerns.
First of all, while it's good to be concerned about cruise missiles, we
should be even more concerned about the scorpions in our cave. Hey, you
don't want to be stung and neither do I, so we need to sweep the cave
daily. I've posted a sign-up sheet near the main cave opening.
Second, it's not often I make a video address, but when I do, I'm trying
to scare the most powerful country on earth, okay? That means that while
we're taping, please do not ride your razor scooter in the background.
    Just while we're taping. Thanks.
Third point, and this is a touchy one. As you know, by edict, we're not
supposed to shave our beards. But I need everyone to just think hygiene,
especially after mealtime. We're all in this together.
Fourth: food. I bought a box of Cheez-Its recently, clearly wrote "Osama"
on the front, and put it on the top shelf. Today, my Cheez-Its were gone.
    Consideration. That's all I'm saying.
Finally, we've heard that there may be American soldiers in disguise
trying to infiltrate our ranks. I want to set up patrols to look for
    them.
First patrol will be Omar, Muhammed, Abdul, Akbar, and Richard.

    Love you lots.
    Osama

  • Hey all, its been FOREVER since I've posted, I know. I'm finally done with school this semester. Yay. I'm just gonna work this summer, this week and next I'm taking it kinda easy, to recuperate now that its over. I don't really feel like blogging right now, but at least now that anyone who only keeps up with me through xanga knows that I'm still alive, I have done my duty. Yeah. So... ttyl!

  • All I really need to know I learned in kindergarten.

All I really need to know about how to live and what to do and how to be I learned in kindergarten. Wisdom was not at the top of the graduate school mountain, but there in the sand pile at school.

These are the things I learned:
    • Share everything.
    • Play fair.
    • Don't hit people.
    • Put things back where you found them.
    • Clean up your own mess.
    • Don't take things that aren't yours.
    • Say you're sorry when you hurt somebody.
    • Wash your hands before you eat.
    • Flush.
    • Warm cookies and cold milk are good for you.
    • Live a balanced life - learn some and think some and draw and paint and sing and dance and play and work every day some.
    • Take a nap every afternoon.
    • When you go out in the world, watch out for traffic, hold hands and stick together.
    • Be aware of wonder. Remember the little seed in the Styrofoam cup: the roots go down and the plant goes up and nobody really knows how or why, but we are all like that.
    • Goldfish and hamsters and white mice and even the little seed in the Styrofoam cup - they all die. So do we.
    • And then remember the Dick-and-Jane books and the first word you learned - the biggest word of all - LOOK.

Everything you need to know is in there somewhere. The Golden Rule and love and basic sanitation. Ecology and politics and equality and sane living.

Take any one of those items and extrapolate it into sophisticated adult terms and apply it to your family life or your work or government or your world and it holds true and clear and firm. Think what a better world it would be if we all - the whole world - had cookies and milk at about 3 o'clock in the afternoon and then lay down with our blankies for a nap. Or if all governments had as a basic policy to always put things back where they found them and to clean up their own mess.

And it is still true, no matter how old you are, when you go out in the world, it is best to hold hands and stick together.

    Life

Hey Everyone, I guess now it is officially time for a real update. My life is Boring. I went back to work for the first time on wednesday sept. 10th. Work was okay, a little hard with the arm still not fully strong yet. I'm trying to find a new job right now, I'm really not enjoying working at Ukrops. I am needing a full time job because I couldn't afford schoool this semester and got dropped from insurance; and I can't afford my hospital bills OR more insurance. I'm really really hoping that I can find a job paying 9-10 dollars an hour. I'm searching for an apartment right now, But I need to secure the job before finding a place to live because I need to be within walking/biking dictance for now.  I would really appreciate any prayers from you guys... Um, life is pretty much upside down for me. I don't sleep well at night anymore, I'm usually up until 3 or 4 am. My walk with God is pretty crappy right now too, I know that it is. I have been trying to step it up and pray and read my bible and things, but I'm feeling pretty hopeless right now. I would really like to just crawl under the covers on my bed and let life go on without me, but since that isn't an option I guess I gotta push forward. I'm really stressed right now and I dunno what to do anymore. Some days I just want to scream, other days cry. Blegh.... I'm lonely. You guys are pretty much my only friends and I never see any of you. I miss you guys. I'm babysitting right now, I watch a 9 month old a few times a week, this is my first time back since I broke my arm. He is asleep right now, he has been asleep since 9:30 and will stay asleep till around 11:00. I only watch him till noon today, then monday I watch him from 8:00am to 4:00pm. Anyway... I better set this in motion to go up, cause this is a slow computer. I will try not to let my poor xanga go for so long before I post again. Love you guys!

    ~Christine~

P.S. If anyone wants to call me I would love to talk to you, you guys have my cell number on the sheet from aletheia, Um, I have free minutes after 9pm and on weekends, you can call me any time then. If you don't have my number and want it message me and I'll give it to you.
